Young People’s Housing Aspirations Study

Researchers from Stirling University are looking for tenants to volunteer as research participants to take part in a study to investigate how young people use their social networks to navigate housing, and how these social networks shape their housing choices, aspirations and expectations.

SAL members are asked to pass this information on to their tenants who might be able to take part.

Participation in this research study will involve an interview lasting between 60-90 minutes. This interview will be conducted online using Microsoft Teams at a mutually convenient time.  The interview will consist of three parts as follows:

  • an interview to gather background information about you
  • a social class measure survey
  • an interview to create a visual diagram of your ‘social network’.
