Free mediation service
The University of Strathclyde’s housing mediation project offers a free mediation service to landlords and tenants in the Strathclyde area, click here to access their website.

Mediation can help to resolve a variety of landlord/tenant disputes including those about rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, deposit and property condition.

Landlords have little to lose by trying mediation apart from the time taken at the mediation meeting. It is a free service and there is nothing to stop the landlord trying mediation before applying to the tribunal or alongside a tribunal action for eviction or debt recovery.
