SAL meets with Housing Convener of the City of Edinburgh Council
As well as supporting Scotland’s landlords and letting agents, SAL aims to promote the wider interests of the private rented sector in our local communities. Working with local authorities throughout Scotland helps us get the message across to those in power about what matters most to local landlords and letting agents.
Last Friday, our chief executive had a very productive meeting with Cllr Lezley Cameron, Housing Convener of the City of Edinburgh Council. Cllr Cameron was interested to know how the city Council can work more closely with SAL and is keen to embark on a closer working relationship. The city of Edinburgh has the largest private rented sector in Scotland, and it is crucial that Edinburgh Council, and others, work in partnership with SAL and Landlord Accreditation Scotland to ensure that lettings businesses survive and thrive.
SAL looks forward to developing plans on how the City of Edinburgh Council can best support its local landlords and letting agents.
