Rent increase notice templates

SAL has been advised by the Scottish Government that from 1 April 2024 the rent increase notice templates will revert to the versions in use prior to the Cost of Living (Tenant Protection) (Scotland) Act 2022. Links to these templates can be found below.

Private residential tenancy (PRT) rent increase notice – this template must not be issued until on/after 1 April 2024.

Assured/short assured tenancy rent increase notice (for use only with tenancies which don’t contain a rent increase clause) – this template must not be issued until on/after 1 April 2024.

Assured/short assured tenancy rent increase letter (for use only with tenancies which have a rent increase clause) – this template can be issued now as the rent cap doesn’t apply to these tenancy types.
