Making tax digital

In his Spring Statement, UK Chancellor Philip Hammond announced a further delay to the government’s “making tax digital” plans. Previously the government had stated that the requirement to keep digital income tax records and report them to HMRC quarterly could be introduced from April 2020. The chancellor announced that the requirement will not be introduced in 2020, paving the way for a potential introduction in 2021.
