Glasgow Retrofit Summit 2025
Hosted by Glasgow City Council, the Glasgow Retrofit Summit 2025 is an online event for stakeholders in housing retrofit projects, including local authorities, contractors, landlords and community organisations.
The summit features a fast-paced, retrofit-focused speaker program, curated with Glasgow City Council and the regional Advisory Group. It runs on Zoom Events from February 11-13, 08:45-12:00 each morning, offering presentations, Q&A sessions, themed breakouts, and networking opportunities. SAL’s policy manager Caroline Elgar is taking part in the summit discussing energy efficiency in the private rented sector.
Each morning session has a specific theme:
• Morning 1: Glasgow’s retrofit progress to date.
• Morning 2: Future needs and barriers.
• Morning 3: Mobilising for retrofit action.
The summit facilitates learning and information-sharing in an informal setting, with Q&A sessions and discussions with peers. Themed breakout rooms provide insights into low carbon technologies and solutions, covering topics like barriers removal, tenant engagement, social value, ventilation, finance, funding, partnerships, metrics, and air quality strategies.
Event partners Loco Home Retrofit, Sisaltech, Snugg and Proctor Group provide technical expertise, with guidance from a regional advisory group including Glasgow City Council and a host of Scotland’s leading organisations for retrofit.
