SAL board of directors update
SAL is delighted to announce some new appointments to its board of directors.
SAL chair, Stephen Peasnall, writes “On behalf of SAL, I am delighted to welcome Laura Mearns and John Davidson to our board of directors. Laura and John join Penny Coburn who also recently joined our board. It is essential that our board reflects the broad range of business interests within our membership, and we look forward to working with new directors in shaping the future of SAL.”
We are delighted to share with you the following comments from our latest appointments to the board, each of whom bring a wealth of experience and strategic insight that will further strengthen SAL and support our long-term growth and objectives.
John Davidson is “delighted to be asked to join the board of SAL after having been in the sector as a landlord for almost 25 years and as a letting agent for 17 years. I’m very much looking forward to working with co-directors and members to support and grow the organisation to continually improve the sector we work in for the benefit of all.”
Laura Mearns said “I’m honoured to join the board of SAL at such a pivotal time for the sector. The private rented sector in Scotland is evolving rapidly, and I’m passionate about helping landlords and agents adapt while continuing to provide safe, high-quality homes. I am very much looking forward to contributing to SAL’s mission and supporting its members across the country.”
Penny Coburn, who joined the SAL board a year ago, said “having been a ‘small’ landlord for over 35 years I am delighted to be on the board of SAL and have enjoyed my first year. Continuing to be part of the Scottish private rented sector and contributing to its success through SAL membership is more than enjoyable, it is an exciting opportunity to support all landlords and agents.”
