A ‘new deal for tenants’? Time to have your say as a landlord

We can expect 2022 to be another challenging year for Scotland’s landlords and letting agents, with the ongoing pandemic plus a new Scottish Government strategy for the private rented sector (PRS) being consulted upon.

Now more than ever, it’s essential to be part of SAL as Scotland’s voice for the sector.

SAL will continue to promote the need for a well-functioning PRS in Scotland, providing homes for people to live in and we will always ensure your views are heard by politicians and policymakers. Just prior to Christmas, as mentioned in our final enews of last year, the Scottish Government published ‘A New Deal for Tenants’ the consultation paper for their draft strategy. The final strategy is expected to be published by the end of 2022 with legislation to follow in 2023. You can see full details here.
