As well as being SAL’s 25th anniversary, 2026 marks 15 years since the Tenancy Deposit Schemes (Scotland) Regulations 2011 came into force. In this Talking Deposits we’ll take a particular look at the legislation side of deposit protection: Unsure about any requirements of the regulations? What have deposit trends since 2011 looked like? How do deposits factor in the Housing (Scotland) Act 2025? This is an opportunity to discuss these questions. As always, time permitting, more general queries about deposit protection are very welcome too.
