Parliament seeks views on Housing Bill
As we reported recently the government has published a Housing Bill to progress plans originally set out in its New Deal for Tenants consultation in 2021. For a summary of the proposals set out in the Bill see our news article here.
The Scottish Parliament has now published a consultation to seek views on the provisions in the Bill. The consultation questions can be read and responded to by clicking on the link below:
Housing (Scotland) Bill Call for Views – Scottish Parliament – Citizen Space
It is not necessary to answer all the questions if you prefer not to. The questions most relevant to the private rented sector are numbers 1-8. There is no question directly about the proposal to convert assured/short assured tenancies into PRTs – views on this proposal can be given in your answer to question 15. The call for views closes on 17 May 2024.
