Scottish Housing Day – save the date

The 3rd annual Scottish Housing Day is taking place on 19 September this year with the aim of celebrating the impact that housing makes to the lives of people and communities across the country, as well as communicating with people about their housing options.

Once again the Scottish Association of Landlords is involved as a partner in the planning of Scottish Housing Day and urges you to show your support for the event.

2018 is designated as the Scottish year of young people and the particular theme of Scottish Housing Day this September this year is to focus on putting young people’s housing needs at the heart of Scotland’s economic, environmental and social policy.

The hope is that as many landlords and letting agents as possible will join with housing associations, local authorities, tenant groups and developers across the length and breadth of Scotland by showing their support for Scottish Housing Day.

Each year more letting agents sign up as supporters of Scottish Housing Day and this is an opportunity for those letting agents to tell their story and raise awareness about the important role we play in providing homes for young people in Scotland to the wider housing sector, politicians, the media and public.

There are lots of ways for members to get their message out locally with the use of social media, through to holding team meetings, activities or events in their office on or around 19 September in support of the national activity that will take place on the day with the intention of getting the message across about the role and value of housing to politicians, the media and the public.

To get more information about how you can sign up as a partner and receive materials and information to help you demonstrate your support for Scottish Housing Day, including your logo being added to the Scottish Housing Day website then visit www.scottishhousingday.co.uk and don’t forget to use the hashtag #scottishhousingday
